"My husband and I hadn't been to Mendocino in more than a decade. It's always been a favorite of ours and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was immaculately clean and very well equipped! The views from the living room window were spectacular. I loved the decor and the cozy feel. This is exactly what we look for in a vacation rental and we will absolutely be back. "It's a beautiful 2 br 1 bath apt above a retail store on Main St. Just the two of us as our friends contracted covid. It's up some stairs, but perfectly located on the edge of town overlooking the pacific ocean. The juvenile sparrow who lives just next door spent most of the day chirping for his/her parents, and sitting on the railing of our deck. persistent, but not annoying. Highly recommend."

"Location is the highlight of this Gualala studio. The stairs faded quickly into the spectacular views. This is a special retreat from the ordinary. Miren is a fantastic host, her knowledge of the area, attention to detail & warm hospitality all a highlight of our stay. We spent 3 nights & explored nearby, but the Anchor Bay beach below this studio makes this location a place of pure contentment, no need to roam. We hope to return."

"We had trouble with the tv as there were no instructions. The grill for the cold air intake for the furnace had come undone and was hanging down . It was like that upon our arrival . It was not a problem though. Other than that it was a fantastic stay. The location was amazing! We enjoyed our stay very much and loved the light in the loft and the view."

"Converted the dance studio was a very cool and unique stay. My partner and I and our dog had a great time exploring all of the neighboring towns- everything was 6-15minutes away. It was a perfect weekend getaway. Only one watch out- if you like to sleep in pitch black just be mindful that the main bedroom only has a 3/4 high wall and there is a sunlight in the roof so it will be light in the morning. We didn’t mind, but the host did thoughtfully provide eye masks if needed."

"We have been coming to Standing Wave for over four years and enjoy it even more each time. Standing Wave is one of our favorite spots on the Sonoma Coast. We highly recommend it for both the house itself, the natural beauty and the abundant wildlife (doe and fawn, bobcat, pelicans, osprey and other sea birds).
