"great location"

"We loved staying here and would definitely stay again if we visited Kyoto. Very friendly and helpful staff, amenities available to us were really useful and our room was perfect for what we needed. We also loved the convenient location to local temples, shopping, restaurants and multiple local train stations which made getting around very easy even with our baby. Very glad we chose to stay at this hotel and would recommend to anyone."

"Sowaka was amazing. Great location, beautiful hotel, incredible food, perfect staff! Do take the 5:45 am tour to Kiyomizu-dera with the incredibly knowledgeable hotel manager. A wonderful and unique experience without all the tourists around."

They have a free washer/ dryer for your clothes and free coffee/tea in the lobby. The employees were all so nice and helpful. I really recommend this hotel. Having a terrace to sit outside on and relax after a long day of walking was also pretty sweet."
