"This was an overnight stay on the way to Cornwall. Very pleasantly surprised as the pub is in a beautiful area with lovely walks along a canal. The pub is very friendly and spacious with outside seating. Breakfast was huge with plenty of choice."

"The family rooms more like an apartment were excellent. Everything you needed in the room including dvds for the kids. The host was brilliant and locals in the bar were welcoming. The location and setting lovely. Would recommend to stopping here"

"We were on a cycling trip from Lands End to John O'Groats and this was not far off the route. Good value accommodation. Breakfast was excellent but the hotel does not offer an evening meal on most nights. Plenty options in town though. Staff were friendly and the pub in the hotel was friendly too. Safe and secure storage for the bikes was provided too."

"We have just had 4 days at Brambles & we could not fault it. David & Allison are very helpful, pleasant & nothing was to much trouble. The accomodation was excellent & the breakfast superb.The room was very clean & welcoming. I would highly recommend this as a place to stay & definately will be staying there again if we are down that way. Also the garden is beautiful with lovely views. "
