Well-organized, very friendly staff, nice room with balcony, kitchen, living room in a very central but silent area. Nice breakfast. We will absolutely recommend this hotel.

Fantastisk beliggenhed og service
Lejligheden var nyrenoveret men stadig charmerende. Dejlig rummelig lejlighed med to franske altaner, dejligt rummeligt badeværelse med god bruser. Der var et lille tekøkken, som vi ikke brugte, men køleskabet var rart at have. Servicen var super god, og personalet var utroligt hjælpsomme med tips til byen, strande og parkering.

An excellent place to stay in Ortegia. Our room was very comfortable, clean, and relaxing. The hotel staff was outstanding...professional, kind, and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious and the lady keeping it stocked was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Thought it was fab. We were there off-season (Nov. 25) but still liked our stay. I even went for a swim at the bottom of the staircase leading down to the water a block from the hotel. We stayed in Room 9 which has an attached balcony with water views. Fantastic.

Lanterne Magiche Ortigia is located at the heart of Ortigia's historical center, close to two beaches, and many excellent restaurants. It is clean, well maintained, and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful Ortigia
A fabulous hotel in the center of beautiful Ortigia. We had a lovely room with a terrace view of the sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. Their recommendations for restaurants were outstanding. We loved the food at Clandestino and aLevante—truly works of art & taste.

The staff was very helpful, nice and accommodating. The room was large and comfortable. The location is very central. Parking was available but driving in Agrigento like in all the Sicilian cities was a challenge. The value was very good for the money spent.

Large, comfortable rooms. Wonderful breakfast. Perfect location. The hosts/staff are just absolutely impeccable!! Okay, lets get down to it. Ortigia is an amazing place to visit. Laterne Magiche is located on a gorgeous, quiet pedestrian street. It is just one block over from some magnificent cafes and restaurants. Ask your hosts about them, they will not steer you wrong. When there are lines of locals waiting to eat, then you know it's good. The island is very walkable and the hotel is perfectly situated. If you are visiting Siracusa, this is the place to stay!!

This hotel is beautiful and has been carefully restored. We did not have great weather however we still walked around the whole island and saw the sights as it is compact.

La bellezza di Ortigia
Bella struttura nel quartiere ebraico di fronte al Bagno ebraico, visitabile con guida. A parte l l'impossibilità a contattare la struttura per info sul parcheggio ed altro, per la quale la struttura ha espresso le sue scuse, una volta in loco e dopo aver parcheggiato l'auto presso il parking Telete (non proprio vicino), è stato un bel soggiorno. Buona la posizione della struttura con terrazze fronte mare, la colazione, bella ed ampia la stanza, attrezzata con piccola cucina e gradevole la gentilezza del personale. Ortigia è bellissima.

Excellent newly renovated hotell in the old town.
Fantastic newly renovated hotell. Located in short walking distance from everything in Ortigia. We had a four person room. This is an appartement with a Large bedroom and bathroom. A separate livingroom with full kitchen, large diningtable and a sofa that converts to a double bed. Also a washingmachine for your loundry and a small private balcony. A large rooftop terrace with sunbeds are available. Breakfast is OK but could have been made a bit more exciting.

I thought I had reviewed this property already… it is absolutely wonderful. I had two rooms, which I was not expecting, including a kitchenette which was very useful for take out and a little cooking. I did not have to eat out at every meal. The staff is welcoming and helpful. I recommend it highly!

Great overnight stay!
I just stayed here for one night when my flight got cancelled and I needed a place to stay for one night until my new flight the next day. The hotel was wonderful, it was so beautifully renovated while retaining the Syracusan charm. The front desk staff were so friendly and let me store my bags prior to check-in. The bed was comfy, AC worked. My only suggestion for a better experience next time would be to have coffee supplied. There were 3 flavours of tea and a coffee machine (bialetti) but no coffee to put in it. I checked out prior to reception opening but just left my key on the desk and that seems to have worked well. I would absolutely stay here again, great location central in Ortigia and very little street noise.
