Anyway I changed it and we have to wait a bit until it is in public...We hope to see you again, all the best from Hans and the Puri Mangga Family....So it would have been no problem, if you informed the staf and they would have givven you another room or villa.

Hello and thank you for your comment, which is in some parts not allright.Let me expalin:The road: There were trucks coming when we built our resort. So why had trucks no problem to drive down heavy loaded, but some small tourist vehicles have big problems if I understand your critics right??? On our website there is a description of the location Puri Mangga is and how to get there...So after talking to my manager, she told me you came @ 8pm and left at 5 am. On the 15th August it was the only day we had only a few guests the rest of the months is quite occupied, but early in the morning )they were sleeping at 5 in the morning. I wonder why you didn't order an early breakfast. We serve it often, no problem.Decoration: When we built the hotel, we didn't want to create an average villa you will find in every average hotel in the world. We created a mix outside Toscanny style and inside kind of Balinese style or at least some Indonesian style, so the guests can feel they are on Bali. All our furnitures are handmade from teak wood and the paintings are from Balinese and Indonesian artists All our other guests and we don't see any problem on contrary. All of them like it. And plus, if you book a room, you saw the pics on the booking site or on our website, there is from almost every villa inside and outside a photo and you could have seen what kind of rooms you can expect. So I wonder why you did book a room, where you see the pics before and you see it is not your style and then you are complaining about about the decoration. That makes no sense for us...Problems with the paint in your room: I also can't see, last November and shortly before the boarders of Indonesia opened again we did renovate all the buildings..And again coming back to the road, I was there also beginning of the year and I couldn't see any problems. You are really one out of three or four people who were complaining about it. And by the way... we have a shuttle for free during the day, our drivers could have brought you down to the dolphin boats and up again and you have to pay nothing. It is just the way to ask... When you arrived, our girls who are welcoming you explain exactly what to do and what are the possibilities.We had for a long time (more than 2 years), even we were open no guests at all, April this year it started slowly again and we are really happy about it and then we see your comment. Normally we don't answer so detailed, but we wanted that our futire guests have the possibility to read our answer to get a good and objective impression about Puri Mangga. Sorry that you didn't like our place, but at least 98% of all the others love it... And you have been there less than 9 hours so we hope the rest of your holidays on Bali were ok. Dear Guest, thank you for your comment. There are just some things I would like to mention. As you arrived quite late, there was a misunderstanding with the security, the superior room you booked, there was a leak, yes. We had a heavy wind plus incerdible much of rain, so one of the tiles got loose, this infected also the room besides the one, what he showed you also. It was repaired the next days, by the way. Then he gave you a deluxe villa as a free upgrade with a really nice view and this view is not at all blocked as you wrote. In the morning, there was a Hindu ceremony, they were praying because of a cremation which took place 2 hours later. As you are from India and you have nearly the same religion, you should understand that. It is not every day, but sometimes there is a "loud wailing sound". you are in a different country with different customs and traditions... As foreigners we all have to accept it. Ok, you booked for 2 nights, you left our resort after one night incl. brakfast and you refused to pay that night plus the other one you booked. Our management did everything to make your leaving as easy as possible for you not to spoil your holidays. So it is fair enough to give us 4 stars... I was there also in that period and I was talking again with my manager, so this is the quintessence of our discussion. Best regards

Möchte kurz zu Ihren Kritikpunkten eingehen: 1.Rückerstattung: in unserern FAQ's, auch bei Expedia steht, dass es bei no show oder früherer Abreise keine Rückerstattung gibt. Wenn natürlich ein Grund wie Krankheit oder Ähnliches vorliegt, sind wir immer bereit kulant zu sein. Ihr Grund war aber nicht Krankheit, sondern - so wörtlich - es hat Ihnen bei uns nicht gefallen und Sie möchten wieder nach Ubud, da sei es besser... Dies ist für uns leider kein Rücktrittsgrund. 2. Trockenheit: Wir hatten dieses Jahr einen sehr trockenen Sommer, es hat von April bis November nicht mehr geregnet. Da unser Ressort etwas erhöht (ca. 150 m über dem Meer) liegt und der Untergrund felsig ist, haben wir leider keine Möglichkeit nach einer eigenen Quelle zu bohren, d.h. wir sind von den lokalen Wassersuppliern abhängig. Dieses Wasser reicht immer für unsere Gäste, aber leider nicht für fast 2 Hektar Garten... Blumen etc. wurden alle bewässert, aber nicht die riesigen Grasflächen und das Reisfeld (ca. 2 Hektar). In der flachen Gegend ist dies etwas anderes, da sich dort überall Quellen befinden und sogar in der Trockenzeit Reis angebaut wird. Deswegen haben Sie auch in dieser Gegend die grünen Hotelanlagen gesehen. Ich war kurz vor Ihnen in Bali und habe mir einige Anlagen bei uns in der Nähe angeschaut, überall die gleiche Situation... 3. Bedingt durch die Witterung sind manchmal die Tolettendeckel etwas angegriffen, sie werden aber von uns laufend erneuert und wir hatten auch deswegen nie Beschwerden. Allerdings, wenn es Sie gestört hat, warum haben Sie nicht die Hotelleitung informiert? Innerhalb kürzester Zeit hätten Sie einen neuen Toilettendeckel bekommen. Wir sind ein sehr gästeorientiertes Haus und die Zufriedenheit der Gäste ist unser oberstes Gebot... Trotzdem Danke für Ihren Besuch in unserem Ressort.

Dear Matthew, we feel sorry, that you haven't been content with us. As our resort is called seaview resort, so the name implicates, that it is not seashore. Furthermore are meanwhile 100s of pics in the net, where you can see that you have a nice seaview, but not that we are on the beach. Our staff always try to explain what you can do. Our 2 hotelvans are may´be not the cheapest, but reliable. 99% like our outdoor showers and when somebody goes around at 6 pm, then it is our security who takes care about you. Sorry Matthew you are the only one since years who is so uncontent about our property, We feel sorry about that and we hope that you found a "better" hotel on Bali. We are lucky that 99% like the resort and come up to 4-5 times back.

Hello and thank you for your comment. You were alone in the ressort, because of the outburst of the volcan Mount Agung. The sea is during the rainy season often grey. Whenever you wanted to go to the beach and Lovine, we have a free shuttle you can use every day until 6 pm, after 6 it cost €5.- for the car up to 8 people..

Thank you for your nice comment. Yes sometimes it is a little bit difficult to go on a scooter on this Island. But we had at that time the choice between seaside and a little away on the hills. We decided to built on the hills, nice view and more quiet... But anyway it is nice that we could provide a pleasant stay for you in Puri Mangga.
