"AC Marriott in Split is a quite new hotel some 1,7 km from the Stari Grad, all the restaurants and sights. It is situated in a not so charming neighborhood and the walk from the old town is long. The hotel itself is nice, adequate for a short stay. The gym is really nice, but staff there is over-zealous and correcting. This is also the case in the breakfast restaurant. When queing for an omelette you do not care staff to point out that there is more scrambled eggs. One coffee machine, frequently needing service does not cut it. Also, please make sure that the hot dishes are warm. And clear the tables, so guests do not have to help themselves. "

And the days we didn’t leave the hotel continued just as nice. The rooftop pool, the drinks, the indoor spa — we loved it all! This was truly value for money. Honestly one of the best hotel stays I’ve ever had. Helpful and friendly staff, nice room, amazing view of the ocean. And the hotel is super close to several beaches as well as a 20-30 minute walk from the old town in Split.
