"We didn't make it in time to try the restaurant, but the menu looked great, as was the St Austell beer. We received a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms in the annex next door. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room had all we needed. Breakfast was from a great selection and we checked out without issue. Fantastic. "

"Det var et nedslidt IBIS hotel, der var ikke skiftet sengetøj fra den sidste gæst, for sengetøjslager var krøllet og der var hår i sengen, kom sent ind, så kunne ikke sige noget, men sjofelt. Fik mad i restauranten, jeg var eneste gæst der, alligevel to det lidt over en time at få pommes frites med et stykke piri-piri kylling, det var godt nok langsomt. Hotellet er slidt ned og trænger til en ordentlig omgang."

"Clean and quiet, very comfy bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful, even when I’d asked about a bowling club in Modbury that a family member used, the lovely bar staff said she’d find out for me. Fantastic full English with great sausages. Nothing seemed too much trouble Thanks for a great stay at a difficult time."

"We had the attic room and it's very spacious. The bedroom has a huge bed that is not too soft and we slept like the dead. Dual aspect with sky lights. Fan and extra soft cuddly blankets if needed. Hairdryer, ironing board, iron and microwave. However, the fridge was the reason I booked. A seating area where you can chill without a TV on and a small book shelf with a wide variety of books. We were very pleasantly surprised. Lindsay, the owner is a lovely fellow and you could just stop and talk...
