"Good stay in a nice quiet bungalow suitable for the family. Communications after booking were good. It would be better if Hotels.com highlighted the hidden fees, if they knew of them. Early check-in/late checkout charges are common place. But fees for towels, bedding and the use of the hot tub in the garden less so.
If you want the basics then use this place as it is good value and you don’t mind taking your own stuff with you. If you want the ‘extras’ it’d likely be cheaper to book elsewhere. "

"Lovely place to stay in a central position to the village. Very old with loads of character. Staff were very friendly and the food was really great. Our room was cosy, simply decorated and comfortable. Lacked a dressing table or somewhere to sit with a mirror and plug for hair drying/styling but we managed. Situated set back off the main street, next to a small Roman Catholic church for which the bells chime at 8am in Sundays but wasn’t intrusive. Lovely choice of breakfasts on the menu too."

"Starting with the positives: the room was lovely, large, well appointed and furnished to high standard, large bathroom with bath and shower.
BUT if you are staying on a weekend or the night before a Public holiday be prepared for the pub to be packed and the music to be loud. We could easily hear music and voices from the bar in our room, and it wasn’t just in the background. We complained and the music did get turned down which also meant the voices weren’t as loud, but we still had to sleep...

This felt like a waste and bad for the environment as well as heating the room up when it wasn't needed. Also the shower temperature could not be changed, so it was cold for ages then very hot, with no ability to do anything about this!"
