"Really good hotel with easy access to it via subway from Kyoto Station. Located next to Kyoto Emperor Palace and in walking distance from Nijo-Jo castle and Nishiki area. Friendly staff and both continental and Japanese breakfast. Room were a good size and bigger than what we had tried before in Japan. If coming back to Kyoto we would stay there again."

"Great calm location away from the busy tourist areas of Kyoto, very charming area with nice little shops, places to eat and coffee to enjoy. Staff is very friendly and help, the cafe at the hotel itself is great and has friendly prices too, there’s great coffee available (you have to and it yourself) freely in the skate kitchen. Would definitely stay here again "

"clean and spacious room with hospitable staff in a central location (right outside marutamachi station). our room came with a washer dryer unit which was convenient even though we didn't get to use it! the hotel is also right across a family mart, mcdonald's and 7-eleven so it was really convenient."

"Very Nice ryokan with friendly staff and a comfortable room. There Are futons to sleep on and a little table with traditional low chairs including a Tea set. There is a choice of japanese or western style breakfast, which Are both of good standard. Furthermore, the ryokan offers a Tea ceremony every morning and different activities or information meetings every Day. All in All a Nice place that we would recommend to friends and family. "

They provided pajamas and slippers for in room use as they request all shoes be taken off and left at the door. We loved that the elevator opened straight to our room. The room was so spacious.
