Check-in was very easy and they accommodated a late check in. Pros: hot tub was clean, simple to use, hot upon arrival. Easy access to parking, groceries, and Green Lake park. Clean linens, kitchen and bath -- albiet we dealt with some fruit flies. We appreciated the separate towels for the bathroom vs hot tub!Cons: Neither bathroom pocket door can shut securely -- thankfully we were two female friends traveling together but with in-laws or coworkers this would have been very awkward with doors popping open. Biggest issue we had was not getting the AC/heat units to work reliably. After we arrived I aired out my room for about 10 mins but then had no heat to bring the temp back up to comfortable (it was 50 degrees outside) thankfully heat is trapped throughout the day and we were comfortable in the afternoons. Would not have been comfortable if we weren't blessed with temperate weather. There were also no kitchen towels or paper towels provided which made it difficult to clean up after ourselves.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay at this cute place. The facilities and amenities were as described and Amy was excellent at communicating with us all throughout. The only thing we found lacking was a washer and drier.

Stayed here for my son’s graduation. Place was very cute and comfy. Hot tub was nice. We had an issue getting into keypad but able to get ahold of owner quickly and resolved it. Wasn’t quite close to shopping and restaurants like we had thought but still good

quiet & secure property

The location of the property & provision for off street parking was great. A short walk through well tended/ quiet residential streets toward Green Lake was a welcomed feature after a long travel day. At the north end of the lake there are cafes and a local PCC grocery which also has a fun deli for take out items.The kitchen was stocked with dishes, flatware plus a modest bit of cookware. We only used the space for breakfast as most of our meals were hosted by family or enjoyed at local restaurants. One item pictured in the listing but wasn't available was an expresso maker. However, there was a Mr Coffee which was actually good enough. The espresso cups were on a floating shelf so perhaps the device is out for repair? This property was private, clean & comfortable. We would happily include it as a fun option for our Seattle visits.

Cozy cottage stay for a quiet week in Seattle

Very comfy and cozy cottage that was a very cool respite from our day trips into the city and beyond. The cottage was in an easily accessible neighborhood and parking/access were painless. My only complaints would be the lack of a hair dryer in the bathroom and the hot tub lights didn't work but otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

Seattle Vacation

What a wonderful place! My daughter and I loved our stay here. The location is great, within 10 minutes to all the lovely neighborhoods in the area and easy freeway access. The house offers privacy and security. Loved the huge window in the living area. It lets in lots of light, even on cloudy Seattle days. The beds were comfy. Could have used brighter porch lights as we arrived late at night and getting in at first was a bit challenging. The host responded quickly to all of my requests. Would definitely stay here again.

Property Needs Attention

Unfortunately our stay left much to be desired. The shower was dirty and covered in mold, the couches and sheets had visible stains. There was no check in manual to provide instructions for the wall heater, hot tub or the WiFi password. Communication with the host was minimal. We messaged a few days in advance requesting an early check in and the host didn’t respond until a few hours before. The host did allow early check in so that was positive. Once we arrived the house was very cold and the heaters were not working properly. We tried reaching out to the host but it took a few hours to get a reply because she was traveling and not available. The hot tub was the main reason we chose this listing and there was no outdoor lighting for the hot tub to be used in the evening. The hot tub also only got up to 102 degrees which is not hot enough to use. There was no way for us to turn up the heat. Finally there were no locks on the restroom. I had read this in a previous review and another review said the locks were fixed and that was not the case. The neighborhood was safe, but this listing has several issues that need to be addressed.

Great place to stay for UW

I booked this place for somewhere to stay while moving my daughter into UW. It was very convenient to the campus and local shopping. Additionally, there is a great taco truck nearby. When I was there, all of the negatives noted in previous reviews had been addressed (e.g. no microwave). The place was very comfortable, clean and stylish. My flight was cancelled at the last minute and I needed to stay an extra day. Amy was very accommodating which made a stressful situation much more tolerable. I loved the place and will make this my home away from home when I am in Seattle.

Seattle Vacation

House was clean, easy to check-in and great communication. Family loved the hot tub and the AC was well needed. I can't imagine staying somewhere without AC, even Seattle.

Nice but disappointing

The location is great. Lots of fun things to do around the area and this was a nice spot to leave our belongings. As far as a restful space, not so much. The furnishings and beds were not remotely comfortable. It is definitely pretty but not functional. Stiff couch, non pliable mattresses and dining chairs that are meant to be pretty, The kitchen has very modern appliances with little to no instructions for use. We went rooting through drawers to turn the oven on. Pans but no spoons, skillet but no knives to cut vegetables, etc. Not thought through. The hot tub had a brown ring of scum at the waterline when we went to get in it. That was really disgusting.

Clean, quiet, comfortable

Perfect place to stay for our family during graduation weekend. The property was quiet and provided all the amenities we needed. We were only there for a short stay and ate out every meal but not having a microwave was tough for leftovers. Plenty of great coffee shops within a 5 min drive. Minor annoyance with the bathroom pocket doors not being able to close/lock. But we have a toddler so we are used to him being in our space always. The private hot tub was amazing, clean, and hot from the minute we arrived!

Beautiful home but lacking

Property was easy to find and private parking was great. I arrived in the evening and it was hard to get in since there is no outdoor lighting but the home is beautiful and well put together and decorated. The beds were super comfortable. The hot tub was easy to use and is always something we look for when staying someplace. I have stayed at many properties. As nice as this property is there are several things that are lacking. There is no curtain in the large living room window and although mostly private because of the tall fence it is uncomfortable to not have one available. There was not enough towels for showers and hot tubbing. The bathroom doors where difficult to open and close and do not truely lock. It was very nice to have a tv in each room but there was none in the main gathering space so we could not sit together comfortably to watch a movie. There also was a fantastic kitchen and espresso maker. I would have used it except there was no sugar or even powdered creamer to use. These little things are super important when staying at properties. We don't all want to eat out for every meal. As comfortable as it was there where many stains on the furniture, pillows and bedding. Some wear and tear is expected but that was not what I would have wanted for my guests. If those things where amended I would stay again.

Cute little cottage

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It's a sweet little retreat within walking distance of Green Lake, public transportation and a short drive to UW, Ballard, downtown Seattle, the Edmonds ferry and other cool spots. As another reviewer noted the espresso machine is the only coffee option and we loved it, but if you prefer a regular cup of Joe there is a hot water pot for instant. Otherwise whole beans are the best bet for the Breville. We also struggled a little with the stove and had to read the manual to figure out to use it but then it was pretty easy. Also, I just assumed there would be a microwave and washer/dryer (although the listing does not mention them as amenities) so note that these appliances are not available. The beds are super comfortable and while we didn't use the hot tub it's a cool feature. We would stay again!

Adorable Casita

This cute, beautifully decorated, modern casita was perfect for just me - and would suit a couple or a small family. I think it would be tight for 2 couples. It has its own small fenced yard which is separated from the owner’s house by a garage, so it feels very private. The hot tub is inside the casita fence/yard. The espresso maker was a nice treat (my daughter has one, so instructed me on its use) and there is also a french press. There is an induction cooktop and an oven but no microwave. The kitchen has everything needed if you don’t plan to cook dinners there. The bed was very comfortable. I used the other bed for my clothes because there wasn’t a dresser or a luggage rack. (There is a small closet with hangers in each room - two bars up and down. The shelf in the middle holds extra pillows so my clothes would touch the floor if on the lower rack or rest on the pillows if on the upper. There wasn’t really anywhere else to put the pillows.)
