"This lodge was amazing, the room was clean and big, the whole site was gorgeous with so many huge plants and trees! There is also a small hike you can do around the lodge. The pool is great and the set up around it is really peaceful. The staff is really nice and so helpful. They gave us a map to walk downtown, which is 15-20 mins by foot. We were 3 girls and never got worried about walking around. We took a cab to come back to the lodge at night since it’s on top of a hill and it gets dark at...

"An amazing experience! Abdiel, Rita, Ragner, and so many others took such good care of us. Such genuine people at a beautiful resort. Food was great! If you are up early enough you will see a wide variety of birds at breakfast. We even saw a few howler moneys in the evening! We did the ATM tour and appreciated the deep compassion and respect our guide (Ben) had for the history of the archaeological site. We'll be back!"

"This beautifully designed lodge, on 4000 acres, is a unique experience. 107 free range horses, parrots, monkeys add to the ambience. Large , comfortable a/c rooms, friendly staff, good restaurant ,and lovely pool, make for a memorable stay. Convenient to many sites. Owner’s wife is an excellent artist and has a gallery there. We loved it!"

"This place is amazing. We stayed for three nights before transferring to San Pedro, and I miss Blancaneaux! We transported by heli and when we were greeted by loving staff with horses and buggy, we were ecstatic! All three restaurants are delicious and fun, and the bar staff is fantastic! "Excellent stay here. The seclusion in the forest is a major plus. Best mixed drinks I had during my whole stay in Belize, including on Ambergris Caye. Food was excellent and home cooked. "Joe & Miriam (sp?) were very friendly and engaging hosts. We went to the Caracol Mayan site and also did a boat/swimming/waterfall tour. Joe is very knowledgeable about Mayan ruins. He is most enthusiastic about showing you his native country. Miriam is a great cook. We thoroughly enjoyed our jungle experience."

"We loved everything about Rio Mantra. It is a great place to land each night after exploring the wonders of San Ignacio and area. We even cooked in one night. We spent most of our time outside by the pool listening to the sounds of the jungle. A toucan came by several days and a family of parrots made a playful racket. It was great!"

"Vores værelse lå lige ud til pool området, hvor der hele dagen blev spillet så højt musik, at det var næsten umuligt at være på værelset. Derudover var hotellet virkeligt slidt. Eneste positive var børnenes tid i poolen"
