Hidden gem
For those living in the Triad or Triangle areas of North Carolina, very close and convenient. For everyone, a beautiful, well-appointed cabin on a deep-water lake, great for swimming. Quiet, serene. Owners are very helpful and very attentive. Recommended.

Had a great time!
My wife, twin boys, niece and lab enjoyed our first lake visit to Hyco Lake. The house was rustic and full of neat items and was very comfortable. John and Virginia were very accommodating and our dog enjoyed swimming and handing out with their dogs. We would consider coming back. Thank you again for a great getaway!

Wonderful Family Get Away
What an amazing family get away. The property was gorgeous and nestled into a beautiful, secluded lake. John was more than accommodating in making sure we got everything we needed. The only minor issue was clarifying whether the in law suite was being rented by others while we were there (which I believe the owners is clarifying in the listing). In closing, we simply loved the place and hope to come back soon. The pictures simply don't do justice to how amazing the cabin and the surroundings are.

Our family had a great holiday at the Cabin! The owner John was very accommodating as well as helpful getting us established at his property. We have wonderful memories of this Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Perfect setting for a relaxing holiday...

Awesome guests. Treated our home like it was their home. Despite this Thanksgiving being the coldest ever, it is wonderful to have visitors who were really able to enjoy what our cabin had to offer as well as Lake Hyco.

Inviting and cozy with deep water views.
Such a hidden treasure. Great fishing, stunning views from deck. Reminds me of childhood in Adhirondak mtns. Owner was so helpful and accomadating. If you appreciate a log cabin with beautiful antiques and modern convenience, this is the gem! Weber grill cooks steaks like a champ. I hope to be back soon! Thanks John! ( pictures don't capture the beauty of property).

Wonderful!
This home is even more beautiful than the pictures. Our family of 6 spent 4 nights in this Hyco Lake home. The home was immaculate! The bedrooms are large and each has it's own sitting area. A beautiful kitchen that was well appointed with kitchenware, condiments and spices. We spent most of our time on the large back deck overlooking the lake.John was the perfect host. He met us at agreed time and went over all the details that make staying in someone else's home much easier. What a retreat! Can't wait to visit again!

Wonderful cabin with fantastic dock; great for swimming and relaxing!
We'd stay here again in a heartbeat! Plenty of room for three couples, 2 small kids and one baby. Great deck overlooking the lake, the dock is spacious and the swimming is awesome. John was very helpful and made sure everything was right with the property at the beginning of our stay. Great place for a vacation.
