"It was a great stay right from the start! It was right by the ferry and the service was impeccable the second we walked off the ferry! It was located right in the downtown area, so everything was right there and we could easily stop in anytime we needed! We had a waterfront room…really enjoyed the trip! Definitely recommend!!!"

"The only problem is the location of the property. Don't get me wrong.. You was outstanding and fabulous. The time it takes to get anywhere is 40minutes to an hour. If we were bikers and they had electric bikes then it's perfect. PLAN well ahead to go to dinner, shop in town or do anything outside of the resort. This place was truly special but the moving around quickly was the only issue. I would recommend and also I would stay here again and again. "

"My husband and I stayed at Breakers for 2 nights…a great choice! Our ground-level room was a direct walk to the beach only a few yards away.
The staff members were friendly and helpful. The restaurants were delicious, especially the outdoor pizza oven and bar.
This is a well renovated older hotel with great amenities. The biggest selling point is that beautiful beachfront. I am already planning my next visit!"

We did not use the pool, but our friends did and it was super cloudy, which looked gross, but could have been from an over abundance of chemicals? Either way, cleanliness is always my top concern and this place was just that, so I would definitely stay here again. "

"Arrived about 5 hours early before check-in. Even with the craziness of the holiday weekend, they were able to get me checked in 3 hours earlier than anticipated. Room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Hotel was located close to downtown St. Ignace, and had quick access to the bridge. Which allowed us to beat a lot of the traffic going back south. Breakfast was great, service was great, we will definitely be back!"

"First time staying in Mackinaw City, will definitely book the Riviera again. Great view, clean rooms, little small but perfect for a place to sleep. Slept two adults one child for our over night stay. The pool is heated and has a great view of the bridge. Also BC pizza delivers to the room. "

"This place was amazing! The only little issue I had was with the toilets flushing a little slowly, but it wasn't too much of a problem and when it did stop up, staff was quick to help out. The room was clean, staff was helpful, and the pool and breakfast was pretty good. Overall, I'd say this place was great and I hope I'm able to come back again someday. "

"All was great EXCEPT, there was no butter found at breakfast for my toasted bagel. I also noticed that cabinets that normally hold muffins and donuts were empty. Something else was missing but I can't put my finger on it. Yes, you provided breakfast but I think you cheated. Still happy with our stay though. "

"Very fine hotel for a short stay. The city is very little and not much to see other than take the ferry to the island. The hotel is right in front the ferry, probably 200 meters away. The personal very helpful and friendly. The hotel is old but the room, bathroom and beds very clean. That is all what we were looking for , as we have been away all day , came back to sleep and departed the day after ."
