"Beautiful area but not close to anything. Horse taxi round trip was $20 per person. One restaurant close by. Biking feasible but very hilly on unpaved roads. Walk into town was more than 2 miles which is fine in nice weather. Room was nice with frig and microwave, balcony, comfy bed. The island is not senior friendly and expensive. Budget accordingly."

"Charming historic boutique hotel on Mackinac Island. Central main street location, with coffee and donuts available in the morning. Rooms appeared true to historic character but updated with modern amenities - comfy beds and linens, large flat TV, and plenty of outlets for charging. This hotel was absolutely adorable and the perfect jumping off point to the island. Clean, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, and great location. Will definitely stay again. "

"For those who know me on this website, you know how I am really difficult to impress. Well this Hotel GOT ME. Even more at the price I paid. The hotel may be a little outside the Mackinaw city, but the distance worth the advantage. We had a wonderful spacious room, plenty of spaces, with balcony, view to the beach. The staff was friendly and informative, made sure we were fine, even offer to set up food service if needed, despite the late time. Wow. Wonderful. I won`t forget this place....

"The staff was great. Breakfast was OK. We were disappointed that the hot tub was out of order. Looking at the murky water in the hot tub suggests that it has been broken for a VERY LONG TIME. You should not have hot tub listed on your Expedia add since you don't have one for guest to use."

"Positives: The staff were very friendly and helpful. They made sure to help accommodate our needs. It is located close to downtown Mackinaw. The view is amazing! We even saw the Northern Lights over the bridge! The rooms were clean, however, the painting of our room was kind of sloppy. Negatives: There was a slight sewage smell outside. Each night when we returned to the hotel our key cards would not work. Apparently other guests were having the same issue. "
