"I believe this is a Hilton property and it's a disgrace. No updates in decades...property is poorly maintained...the wear and tear is unbelievable. My deadbolt wouldn't lock. I slept with the lights on and didn't dare walk barefoot. I can't even believe that Expedia would list this property."

"The cottage was very lovely and cozy. The place was clean and comfortable. The bathroom had almost anything that you’d need. Bed was super comfortable compared to other places I’ve been to. The host is very hospitable and left us some food for breakfast. Even though it was raining all weekend, it was still very nice to listen to the river and the pitter patters. It looked quite small when we pulled up, but as soon as we walked in it was spacious and very well layed out The photos are quite accurate, notes were very helpful throughout the cottage to know where things are and how things work. "We could not find location in dark and rain. Only given GPS info and no name of hotel or property. Once we arrived guard at guardhouse could not assist as we could not affirm name. When finally able to track down contact info for the vacation property company that listed the rental they had to share hotel front desk info and that’s when we learned name was Windrose On Hudson. Very stressful situation- enjoyed historical location. Great facility, not so great TV/streaming set-up… cable. "

"The weather at the time of our visit was unusually hot and our host was so accommodating with trying to cool the house down. He really did go all out in trying to make us comfortable. However, the two window units were just not sufficient to cool the house, nor were they situated in places where the air was able to circulate throughout the house. The house is older but comfortable enough with appropriate seating but lacking in lighting in the bedrooms. The bed in the master bedroom was...

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and had nice small touches such as labels on most everything so you can understand how it works. The only thing that would have made it better was a fully fenced yard so as long as you remember to bring leashes. We will definitely stay here again, "

"This house is massive! I opened a door expecting it to be a garage. It wasn't: it was a huge 5th bedroom! It was clean and we really appreciated that the refrigerator was totally empty (we're so used to having other people's condiments left in fridges). We are so appreciative that he allowed our rotten chihuahua-mix join us. Thank you! The owner was so responsive and flexible and the location was ideal. We loved going to First Village Coffee and recommend it.We had so much fun with the foosball...

"This is a small cabin located down a slight hill from the owner's house. They did a wonderful job of clearing out trails behind the property throughout the woods, between cabin and the road. The town of Chappaqua is beautiful and located close by, with any amenities you may need. The cabin is modified from an old stone and log structure and had all the basics you will need for a rustic retreat. Joanne was very friendly and seems to genuinely enjoy seeing guests have a pleasant stay."

"Grounds were beautiful and well kept, liked evening entertainment on lawn. Disappointed that there was not a cafe on the property to have a cup of sit down coffee or tea or a small breakfast or lunch. The Rockland building could use some freshening up with new carpet and some pictures on the wall, etc. In the rooms, need some kid of a hook or towel rack in the toilet/shower room to grab towel after a shower."
