"The hotel was clean, affordable and AC and hot water worked. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great, two major grocery stores on each side of the hotel and the Fugalei market right in front of it. Also was is a restaurant that makes decent “Fish and Chips” besides other dishes. Everything is a couple of steps away from each other, beautiful! Malo lava!"

"Aniva is a great host and the ladies that help her are lovely. The breakfast is very nice, the rooms clean and it's nice and close to Apia. The beds were a little hard for my taste but not terribly so, the shower is great and the pool is a delight in the heat, even though it's over-chlorinated.
Definitely pay the extra for A/C (it's a must for sleeping in the heat) and I would recommend paying in advance at the quoted price as there is a small discrepancy in the exchange rate if paying when you...

"Staff was amazing , Very friendly and always willing to help. They became like family and without hesitation They promised to look after my mum when I returned back to NZ but they went above and beyond. Check in/out was smooth with no hassles. Right in the middle of Apia so very convenient to town. It’s simple and intimate setting gives you peace and quiet and the attention when needed. Highly recommended. Thank you to all staff especially the admin team :)"

"we arrived as planned late at night and were shown to our room by the driver. There were pools of rainwater on the floor. The AC outside the window was making a humming noise which made it impossible to sleep. We were given a ground-floor room although we had been promised a 1st-floor room.

"Es war eine schreckliche Nacht, harte Betten, Kakerlaken im Zimmer, der Raum hat stark mufflig gerochen, Schimmel im Badezimmer, der Schwimmingpool hatte grünes Wasser zum Baden war der nicht geeignet.

Fantastic lagoon with crystal clear water and plenty of fish, water level low and good for kids and inexperienced swimmers.
Best food we had on Samoa (food generally sad and unsavory); weekly BBQ was good and à la carta likewise. Same night staff did a Samoa dance and fire show which was authentic and lovely.
Most professional staff we experienced; welcoming, attentive, not using mobiles (big problem on Samoa).
The approx 10 huts are very simple and rustic but reasonably clean.
