"A really great stay - the location, the rooms, the food, everything was perfect, why we spent the majority of our time in Bacalar at the hotel. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Because of a double booking, the hotel had to change our dates a month before arrival, but we were offered complimentary massages and a bottle of sparkling wine for the inconvenience. I would recommend everyone to go here - we could have easily stayed more than the 3 nights we had booked! "

"Con sólo 16 habitaciones, el Amainah es un hotel prácticamente perfecto para una estadía en Bacalar. Instalaciones, restaurante, bar, alberca... todo es sumamente disfrutable. Dos detalles mínimos: Rentamos una habitación con alberca privada, el agua estaba fría, por lo que no la pudimos usar en la noche, como era nuestro plan. El otro es que los muros, todos en cemento pulido, rebotan mucho el sonido y, por la noche, los ruidos se magnifican; sería buena idea colocar algunos cuadros textiles,...

Det mangler i den grad vedligeholdelse - alle døre binder, badeværelset er kalket til, håndklæderne hænger i laser, jacuzzien på taget er gået i stykker ligesom stjernekikkerten, og liggestolene på lagune dækket har alle små skavanker. Alligevel bliver jeg nødt til at give stedet en høj karakter, for sjældent har jeg nydt et ophold så meget. Udsigten er fabelagtig - både fra værelserne (havde Laguna view) og fra det store trædæk ud i lagunenen, og placeringen med jungle...

"LOVED everything about this place except the madrasses which were too hard. We were in the hostel like room under the roof with the most beautiful view of the lagoon. Renovate it a bit and it will be heaven on earth. Service, food, drinks and everything else was fantastic. Go to Bacalar center and eat at the charming square or at Mr. Taco and you will have a perfect stay in Bacalar. Enjoy!"
