"Property is definitely older, rooms need an upgrade. The floor we stayed on had a strong sulphur smell. The good news is they are undergoing a complete renovation this year. Beach is great… soft sand. Love the size of the property. Not too big, easy to get around. Food was great. Staff was excellent! Very kind and always accommodating!"

"If you do not book through Riu, you have to get your own shuttle. you can do this through Expedia, but after you book it you will want to call the shuttle company and get very clear meet up instructions. the airport is full of people who tell you they are with your shuttle just to try to sell you something."

"For being our first time bringing our kids it’s a perfect place price wise. Great place to get an actual chance to get in the pool as a family without the hassle and stress of overcrowding. Food and amenities for the price was great. Staff and room overall do highly recommend! Very safe surroundings overall yo adventure!"

And Unico tried to charge me 250% of what I could pay to book it on Expedia. I showed them the rate and they insisted on $1,800 a night. I booked it on Expedia and they accepted the reservation but it was such a slap in the face to shelter in place when every other reservation extended for free. "We just returned from a week long trip with our 4 and 6 year old. This place was amazing - so clean, the food was great, restaurants were all so good and the staff was fantastic. We stayed in a 1 bedroom and there was so much space. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! "

"We had a great room in newer area on top floor looking over the ocean. Everything was clean. Pillows were excellent. lol. The restaurant / bar wasn’t very good. Rooms- dirty, severely outdated, cracks in the walls, old beat up furniture, uncomfortable beds, a lightbulb in the bathroom for your light.
