"For the cost of what we paid for the rental, it was fantastic. It has 2 great outdoor spaces, with a top and lower deck. It is small, but enough space for what we needed. It needs a few simple things, that I noticed others mention, like more towels. We are 60 guest and had to maneuver to get up the outdoor steps and to get in to the high ledge bath tub/showers. "Our stay at the Great Escape Lodge was fantastic! The house is a magnificent historical structure. All rooms were ready and perfect for our arrival (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, etc...all perfect). "Everything was seamless from check in to check out. The owners are wonderful, even calling me a couple days before to let me know about an HVAC issue and our options surrounding that. The cabin was very clean and updated and had everything we needed and more. All of the furniture was comfortable and well maintained. Our favorite thing to do during our stay was sit on the deck to enjoy the beautiful view and watch the thunderstorms. We will definitely be returning "

"We loved the attention to detail with the decor of the room. It reminded us of luxury safari tents. The bed was comfortable; the coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator were useful, and the ambience was fantastic. The only downside is having the restroom up the hill, but the restroom was clean and included nice showers. I would definitely stay in the tent again, though it would be nice to stay for a longer time."
