"Memoir is a strange blend of residential property and hotel. Its association with the Common House adjoining is not very clear, although this is a great asset to the property (note that common house closes at 5pm on a Sunday, so if you’re staying on a Sunday night this is no use to you). My problems are that it wasn’t that clean - the hallways are dirty, residents place their trash in the hallways, and the walls are scuffed both in the hallways and the rooms. "We stayed for a week. Great, safe area. We walked to French Quarter and Mardi Gras World. Close to Cable Car line. The Crepe Shop below is yummy! Washer and dryer was a plus. Walls are thin so bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Would stay here again. "

"This hotel was much better than we expected. The security was excellent - every door had a special access code so we felt very safe. Our suite had a fridge, stove, dish washer and washer dryer. The couch and bed were very comfortable.
One thing I will note: the fan has one speed, slow and AC doesn’t go below 68°. As east coast residents we would have liked it to be cooler, but this by no means changed our opinion of this property.
We found most restaurants in the area are either open early...

"Awesome hotel to stay in, great value for the money, perfect for families and couples, they have kitchen,living room and dining room table to eat at, we love it, the staff was great they really go above and beyond to make your stay with them awesome and amazing, we recommend this hotel highly and it is very centrally located near everything you need.
