"After a wonderful one week stay at El Sol Hotel back in February 2025, we were very thankful to return to this lovely local hotel in Addis. Booking our trip to Madagascar meant we had to change flights in Addis and we figured: why not do a 2-day stopover in this Great city and visit some friends? "Staff were great, I appreciated the discretionary early check-in, cleaners were great, bed comfy, very spacious, lots of storage in the bedroom, location is perfect but there are some basics that need sorting out. In as much as the aparthotel looks nice, the construction quality is poor... there are noticeable gaps on the window frame leading to noise disturbance from outside, the shower is not very hot, the faucet in the sink gives oui warm rather than hot and they both take forever to get to...

"Our stay was horrible and we will never use stayz again either, we tried several times to address our concerns with host and he ignored us and we contacted stays and they also ignored us. The accommodation was not as described online, it was unsafe, the showers leaked and made the floors very wet, slipping hazard for my kids. The shower pressure was weak, the doors and windows didn’t lock, also a hazard for my young children, wires hanging out of power points, advertised generator but power goes...

Lovely stay at the Ramada in Addis Ababa

"The best part of this hotel is the staff. I was there for almost 3 weeks and the staff is so incredible kind and caring. They are the gem of this place. The hotel itself is pretty standard. They have everything you need including a very lovely spa and 2 restaurants. It gets a bit loud on the weekends because of the live music in the downstairs bar so if you are sensitive to sound, I recommend getting a room on the left side of the building - towards Bole road and away from the parking lot and bar area. I would absolutely stay here again if I return to Addis."
