The cabin was stocked well enough that we could cook a little breakfast in the morning and head off to Mammoth Cave for some hiking during the day. Really happy I found this spot. Also, I was initially unsure which room I would occupy. But everything got sorted out. The location is very, very close to the street, but the building, which apparently was constructed in 1810, was so well constructed that any noises from passing traffic could not be heard. "If you move in and find a lot of bugs, I have a good method to get rid of them without having to do it by hand. You can catch the bugs in the trash can and flush them down the toilet. But it's difficult to flush the bug corpses out of the room's toilet."

"Host answered promptly to any questions. It was a beautiful location. There was firewood outside with a place to sit and have a fire. Unfortunately, it rained so we couldn’t do that. There was even chocolate and marshmallows inside. The home itself was very comfortable. I would put extra blankets as the blankets are thin and it was cold and wet outside. The rooms heat will adjust but we enjoy cooler with blankets. Bunk bed needs railing for safety on top. Also, the mattresses on the bunkbed...

"We absolutely loved staying at the Lily Pad cottage. Quiet..Peaceful..plenty for the kids and adults to do. Had a campfire every night. Relaxing and serene. Just what we needed to get away from the busy lives we all lead. Sunrise was Beautiful as well as the stars at night. Our host was amazing. Felt like Family. We will definitely be back. Loved it!!"
