"I am pleased that we found this when we made a last-minute cancellation on our campsite reservations at MacKerricher State Park due to predicted rain two of the three days we had planned to camp. Several of the prior reviews had good additional information: the gas fireplace worked well to heat the unit, but it is not on a thermostat so we have to turn it on and off as needed. "The views are spectacular, and the privacy of the home made for a very relaxing stay. We had an issue on check-in day when we didnt realized there was no hot water until 8 in the evening. But the Maintenance man, who was very kind,came out right away to resolve this and it did not put a damper on our stay. I would definitely recommend to anyone, and would even love to stay again one day. "

The cottage is an absolute fairytale dream with a clear attention to detail that the host generously provides to ensure a comfortable stay. "Everything was perfect...my host was so kind, helpful and friendly. The property is so beautiful and peaceful. The home had everything I needed and was so beautifully decorated, really well done esthetically. The bathhouse was just as well done as the home.
