"What an adorable country cottage. We came up for just 1 night for a family function and felt right at home. We are a family of four with 2 adult children but you could easily have 2 more children and a baby here. Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious with cozy nooks and nice front porch. Very clean and beds are comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen including full spice rack. We will definitely be back."

"If you want a quiet slice of VA/Potomac waterfront, this is the place."

"This was my first VRBO experience and I loved how easy it was. The cottage is rustic and simple but that’s exactly what I was looking for. I ended up not making it to the winery, but it was an easy drive into Colonial Beach and over to George Washington’s birthplace. And a cozy place to curl up and read during the afternoon thunderstorm!"

"Property is exactly as described. We had a great week fishing and crabbing on the dock and even on the 2 days it rained, the house was so comfortable for chilling and watching movies. This house was well stocked with everything you would need. We forgot our Old Bay for the crabs but there was some already for us! "We really enjoyed our stay at this lake house. The view is beautiful and the house is beautifully decorated and kid friendly. Just a really charming place to stay for a family vacation."

"My family and I had a great time at this property fishing and crabbing. We also did a day trip to Westmoreland State Park, where we got to hike to Fossils Beach."

"Great place, super cute and walking distance to everything. Host was great!"

"Cozy, small, quiet home."

"Beautiful home, very clean and comfy "

"Enjoyed our visit to Colonial Beach. Rented a golf cart for getting around town; highly recommend this method of transportation. Lovely view from the condo and easy access to the boardwalk, restaurants and bars. However, plan accordingly for the late-night, weekend live music next door at Tiki Hut.Spent an afternoon at the pool, which is not on-site. But with the golf cart, it was an easy, short commute."

"House was very nice and very private. The location is tucked away from Colonial Beach, but just a short drive away for a visit. The kayaks and the water were a favorite for my kids. The kitchen was FULLY stocked with all of the tools we needed and that was a very nice touch. It was easy to get settled and provided plenty of space for our family."

"Nice, clean house. Good location and neighborhood."

"The house was wonderful. It was beautifully decorated, roomy and had a huge fenced in yard. It was also adequately private surroundings. I was pleasantly surprised. Our host made us feel very welcome and appreciated."

"Stayed with grandkids and others for a few days and we loved it. Quiet neighborhood, walkable to downtown, chilled vibe."

"Fast easy check in. Gorgeous place. House was very clean. Beds were comfy. Pool was clean and water was warm. Hot tub was perfect for relaxing after a long day. We had no phone service there but the WiFi worked great. We had our kids with us and they loved it too. We will stay here again next time we are in the area. Highly recommend."
