The new owner may have transformed each of the units into a hotel room, but they couldn’t change the stairways, the elevators, or the sad depressing feeling inside the building. "Toilet was dirty when I first arrived. My kitchenette was missing a drawer. The shower had mold in the door. The sound of the highway right outside my window mixed with people slamming the stairway door at all hours of the night, and no black out curtains made it hard to sleep. The receptionist was no where to be seen for the first 10 minutes I was trying to check in. She was seen later smoking cigarettes and talking with guests instead of being at the desk.
