Cozy getaway
This cabin gave us a cozy place to come to after a long day of fishing. Be prepared to bring basic cooking amenities like foil in order to cook any fish you catch. The cabin is located close to hiking and plenty of fishing spots. Very quiet and peaceful.

A Must Stay…
A peaceful and beautiful setting in a cute cabin with the river below and the stars above. If you need to reset and disconnect, this is the perfect place to do it.

Beautiful and peaceful location!
The property is located in the perfect spot to get off the grid! Very peaceful, tranquil river that can be viewed from the back deck. Great little hiking trails nearby. We were a little bummed that we couldn't use the firepit (maybe a fire ban) but it was a perfect little vacation!

A great place to recharge.
This little cabin is such a restful place we came here for a second time. The view from the deck is so peaceful. Wildlife is all around. Birds, deer and even moose came past as we sat outside. Our stay was just what we needed to recharge.

You will see wildlife from this cute Cabin
Totally enjoyed our stay here. It sits towards the end of a dirt road with a cabin on each side. The neighbors were not there during our stay. We stayed 4 nights and during that time only saw 4 people. A woman walking on the street, a man fishing for trout in the river in front of the cabin and 2 hikers on the trail along the river. Every day we saw deer. One day we watched a Moose walk down the mountain side.

Short but Sweet
I was at the property for less than 48 hours, somehow felt like I was there much longer. The house is very comfortable and clean, and is beautifully located with a combination of open views, woods, and the sound of the rushing river just feet away. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get away into nature yet not wanting to rough it. And the hosts were incredibly communicative.

Great Cozy Cabin
Nice stay with communicative hosts! Cabin is very clean with nice accommodations. Host answered questions quickly. Directions given to lakes and trails were very well thought out.

Great, peaceful place to get away from the city
We had a great time disconnecting from everything and connecting with nature. House had everything we needed and property manager had very good communication with us. The lakes were great and everyone in the community was super friendly.

Fantastic Stay
This is really a unique property, where you feel at home. Everything is thought after, up to the Hummingbird feed. Contact with Dianne and Mike is excellent, they were very helpfull to secure some fishing passes so that I could fly fish day one, right by the cabin. There is a nice guest book with a lot experience shared by previous guests. I you really want a different experience, this is the place to go :-)

Peaceful cabin
This cabin is in a quiet area of Crystal Lakes. It is perfect for 2 or a small family and is away from the usual tourist spots. Sitting on the deck listening to the river and watching the birds and wildlife made this a great experience for us. If you are up when the sky is dark, the night sky is a bonus. Communication with the owners was smooth and the cabin had all the necessities. River Song Refuge was just what we needed to recharge our batteries!

Riversong retreat
Cabin is just as advertised. Clean, comfortable, and well stocked. Gas grill was a saving grace. None of the cafe's were open the days we were there untill lunch. We found a super nice food truck in Red Feather (Mobile Mountain). Great food and great people. Saw three moose and several deer.

Riverside Relaxation
My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at the cabin and in the Crystal Lakes area. There is an additional fee for fishing in the lakes/river while in the Crystal Lakes area but my partner had some great days fishing and found the additional fee worthwhile. One morning we were able to watch a moose right outside the cabin at the river. We didn't get cell service while at the cabin (Verizon and T-Mobile) and to get wifi you have to head a short ways up the road to the community center. This wasn't an issue for us; we enjoyed the solitude.

Thank you Karen & Greg for your review. For future guests—most cell providers typically get decent service at the cabin-Verizon is the only one that does not (Verizon works in other areas of Red Feather Lakes-it’s just spotty in the whole area). We provide games, TV with a ton of DVDs & DVD player. Free Wifi is available 24/7 at the library in the village & Base Camp just down the road. Happy Travels and all the best. Dianne and Mike

Peace and seclusion
We had a wonderful, peaceful time and felt pretty secluded, which is what we were looking for. Beautiful back woods area! We couldn’t really see or hear the river because it was covered in snow. But that’s to be expected in the winter, right? We got stuck in the snow driving up! Dianne and mike were luckily online and got our message right away and sent someone to pull us out! What a relief and saved the day, and the whole trip, really! Thank you! Note: our tires were pretty worn. So that might have been the problem. Only recommendation I might make to the property owners or managers is that the place just needs a good deep cleaning session. Overhead fan and over stove lights and under beds and couch cushions for example. Overall, great place!

River Song Refuge was a delight. The only sound was the creek just outside, the landscape lit by the full moon was like a postcard. The host was easy to communicate with, and was sure to let us know everything we needed to know. Would definitely book again.

Serenity and nature in Red Feather Lakes
This cabin is a little slice of heaven. Remote in some ways but not far from supplies in Red Feather Lakes. The views of the river are stunning and we saw so much wildlife including a huge bull moose. Communication with Dianne was great too. We definitely hope to visit again someday. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us.

You couldn't ask for more if your looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. Very peaceful, quiet, a lot of animal entertainment (deer, chipmunks, hummingbirds, etc.) It was just what we needed.

Location, location, location!
My husband and I love seeing new areas of our vast country and the location of your lovely cabin is truly divine! There is so much to discover around the Red Feather Lakes area but my favorite memory was sitting on the cabin's deck watching a lazy bull moose graze the meadow across the river while above my head a dusky flycatcher frenetically tended her nest, lovely! Thank you :)

True to its name

Unplug from the city
Dianne and Mike were great! Great communication all the way up to making sure we arrived. We so much enjoyed our stay, we loved the hiking that was literally right out the door, sitting on the deck watching the humming birds and seeing all the wild life. Grandson can't wait to tell all his friend's about his vacation..

What a Gem!
This cabin was beautiful! Just what was needed for a relaxing getaway. Clean and cozy.....perfect! We were blown away with the view around property! Amazing! Can't say enough about watching the river while sitting on deck. Bed was very comfortable and shower very clean, big. Wonderful stay and Dianne was awesome to communicate with. Already thinking about when to come back!

Lovely place with amazing views
River Song Refuge is a lovely place with a well deserved name. We were able to hear the soothing sound of the river while swinging on the hammock, having a cup of coffee on the deck or playing cards on the picnic table. And the views are incredible all around! We explored all the public lakes on the area; Dowdy Lake in the Arapahoe National Forest, and the State Parvin Lake were our favorites. The cabin was a great base point to come and go to all the places we wanted to see. My husband, our 9 yo son, our dog and I had a great time, and recommend this place.

It was beautiful! Love watching the wildlife and especially the hummingbirds. It was very relaxing.
The only thing that we had a problem with was the plumbing pipe broke and we woke up to a flood in the cabin on our last morning. It was just the water heater so at least it was clean water! Lol 😆! We would definitely go back even though we had that problem. Things happen!

Wonderful
My husband and I stayed last October and it was perfect. The first day there we actually locked ourselves out and they were quick to come and unlock it for us. But this gave us an opportunity to enjoy the firepit while we waited. Then we got snowed in for the rest of the trip. We enjoyed their selection of dvds and the wood burning heater and just relaxed. It was a very nice getaway

The feels private and has a lovely view of the river. It was very comfortable. We hiked along the river, read books in the hammock and ate dinner enjoying the view.
