These guys really need a reset on a lot of fronts. Stayed Dec 28 - Jan 5th. I thought it was going to be good. During check in we tipped the receptionist and requested a quiet room if possible. After some light banter he explained that he placed us in a quiet spot, and it was. And dinner on night one was at the buffet since we obviously weren’t there in time to make a reservation for the first night, plus I couldn’t actually log into the hotel site to use the reservation app, so I was directed to come back in the
The next morning is when is started to get a little weird.
Building maintenance, management direction, actual thought and planning by management, and way more staffing during capacity like peek season operations, like New Years week - which is when we just stayed there.
Don’t get me wrong. Punta Cana beaches are amazing and the weather is perfect in the winter… so we had a good time regardless of how under whelming the experience was, but hotel/resorts are supposed to strive for excellence and these guys were mostly on vacation themselves. Apparently, most employees were off during the holiday week which left the guests to beat for service, then the service we did get for those day was from irritable upset not smiling employees.
