"Venligt personale, og fin morgemad, selv om der kun lige var det nødvendige. Men desværre var hotelværelset meget beskidt. Hvis vi gik på terrassen uden sko var vores tær eller sokker med det samme meget beskidte. Det samme galt tæppet på værelset, så vi måtte bruge klip klapper. Vi fandt også hår flere steder. Der var pænt og rent ved morgenmaden. Fint værelse generelt med rigtig god udsigt."

"The Doubletree is located in the Condado neighbourhood but not in an especially charming setting. The Asford avenue, however, is only 5 minutes walk away and the vibrant Santurce area is also close. A taxi to old town will cost you 20 USD, and Uber 12-15. As a plus - if you need to buy groceries etc. - there is a mayor supermarket just in front of the hotel. The common areas of the hotel are generally nice. Be aware,though, that pool is minuscule and can get extremely crowded. There is a transport service to the beach, where you can get sunbeds and sunshades, but it is faster to walk. The beach is nice and sea wonderful, although signs advise you not to swim due to currents. Service at the hotel is uneven depending on staff member and area. Some staff members were never told to great guests, it seems. Others (bar/restaurant for example) are very friendly. At this price point I have experienced much better. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Be aware, though, that some of the beds in rooms with two beds are “murphy beds”. As in other hotels in Puerto Rico they will charge you a “resort fee” on top of the room rate. We ended paying 300 USD a night (without breakfast) in August - it did not feel as great value for money for a hotel with a 3,5 star feel to it. Recognising, though, that San Juan is among the priciest destinations in the Caribbean. "
