"Hotel is quite secluded and you would need a car to go to Fajardo city. Room was very clean, but the hotel in general looked like it had seen better days. Food options not very good. Did not seem to be fresh made and seemed like they did not use local produce, eg the fruits in the breakfast restaurant. Also a bit overpriced compared to quality. In general our impression is that it is overpriced according to the standard. Biggest plus about hotel was the friendly staff."

"The Doubletree is located in the Condado neighbourhood but not in an especially charming setting. The Asford avenue, however, is only 5 minutes walk away and the vibrant Santurce area is also close. A taxi to old town will cost you 20 USD, and Uber 12-15. As a plus - if you need to buy groceries etc. - there is a mayor supermarket just in front of the hotel. "The gate to the beach was locked in the late evening and wasn't opened until in the morning. We'd been hoping for a stroll along the beach after dinner, but that wasn't to be. The pools were off limits during that time aswel. When the pool finally opened in the morning, they started cleaning the pool and garden with noisy machines. Maybe our timing was just unlucky.
