"This was a trip to spend a bit of time with my two adult kiddos before the craziness of the rest of the school year ensues and they both graduate in May. The yurt was perfect, and we basically just hung out playing games and cooking food while we were there. My granddog loved sniffing around thr outdoors, and the kids enjoyed the hot tub. My only insight is that the first set of steps coming up from the parking area may be a bit hazardous for those with any sort of mobility limitations, and...

"Great stay! The yurt is clean and well equipped with lots of those little extras that make it special. Creek is really pretty and our dogs loved it! Host really goes the extra mile to make your stay comfortable; very friendly and approachable. Hot tub is private and relaxing. Location is beautiful. Floyd is a nice nearby town to visit with quaint shops.Highly recommend."

"This rental was the perfect starting point for some hiking I wanted to do in the area. Mt Rogers (tallest peak in Va) is close by, as are The Channels, which was my focus for this trip. This place can easily host 3-4 people, maybe even 5 if one wants to sleep on the couch. The beds were the best feature, super comfortable, best sleep of my life. You do have to climb up ladders to get to them, they're loft style, but I'd crawl over broken glass to get back to them. There is a sink, a mini fridge...

"Second stay at this lovely location. We were able to experience more outside activity this year as we brought our son (14) and our daughter (22) stopped by. "A beautiful mountain retreat that is tastefully furnished and well-appointed. Still has that new house smell! Wish windows had screens and could be opened and shade to enjoy the balcony. The views are spectacular-- even in the rain!"
