"We had a great time at this property. Less than 10 minutes to Watkins Glen and the Gorge Trail. Multiple wineries with 10 minutes. Also a bunch of markers markets and local farm stores within 20 minutes. We really enjoyed exploring the area and then winding down on the back porch at night after a day out. Would recommend this location to anyone looking to explore the Watkins Glen or Seneca Lake Wine Trail."

"What a gorgeous place to spend a few days. Beautiful lakefront property and a variety of ways to enjoy it; spacious upper level deck with amazing views, a mid-level deck with even more space and grill and table, a lake level fire pit, and of course, the beautiful dock. We had such a great time and will definitely come back. It easily accommodated our party of eight adults."

"Had a most amazing time staying in this location - close enough to travel around the Finger Lakes and in a location that was quiet and unbelievably relaxing. "The cottage was perfect for our trip to enjoy the finger lakes region because it was centrally located. Roxanne is a terrific host, easily accessible to answer questions about the area. We enjoyed the fire pit and many nights star gazing. We would highly recommend the cottage and hope to travel to New York again and stay at Sweetgrass! Kim and Tom"

"Charlie the owners was at the property very welcoming and nice .the property was amazing. Right on a river. The house was above incredible, you feel your at spa .he has everything you could ever want. The only down is the well water has a sulfur smell but he provides bottled water for cooking and cleaning .so no problem. Cool evening enjoyed a nice fire.the pictures on the site are exactly what it looks like. Dont think theres a picture of the bench by the river its a great place to set."

"Best place I’ve ever stayed at a finger lake! Cozy and comfortable cottage. A feeling of home. View was impeccable! Very clean! Just so relaxing with the family. My 3 year old granddaughter loved the kayak. First time in the kayak. She didn’t want to come out! lol! My lab loved every bit of it! Met the hosts. Very welcoming and friendly! "The hotel has a nice central location. Overall the hotel seems a bit run down. It is a bit messy with chairs in the halls. It says that breakfast is from 7-11, but when we arrived at the restaurant at 10:15 it was closed, and nobody was there. We asked for the beds to be made every day, but it did not happen unless we asked for it again at the reception. The outside lounge area was not very clean with cigarette buds everywhere. The reception staff was not very helpful or friendly. Overall not a recommendable hotel, especially not at that high rate. "
