Excellent experience
Extremely friendly and warm people + hotel. Small, family style. Great, delicious breakfast, high quality, very delicious. Our room facing away from the street was quite small, but we know that in advance and the cost also reflected this. It's 15 min walk from St. Germain and Rue de Seine, and only 7 mins from the Luxembourg Gardens

Charmerende, udstrakt service ud over forventet
Fantastisk service. Smagfuldt indrettet og meget personligt. Har aldrig tidligere boet på et så lille hotel men det er ikke sidste gang. 2 Metroer meget tæt på og meget charmerende område. Hvis vi igen vil til Paris vil vi helt sikkert bo her igen.

Lovely boutique hotel. Very clean. Friendly helpful staff. Just don’t stay in Room 15. It’s very small and very dark. Other rooms are much lighter.

Everything was clean. The staff would do our bed and have us new towels everyday. Safe area. Pharmacy right across the corner. Restaurants and stores in every corner. Elevator and staircase for coming in and out. Staff was friendly as well. I highly recommend for a quiet and calm area

Hello, I stayed at Hotel Sainte Beuve from 20 to 23 February. The hotel was advertised as 4 stars but all in all does not deserve even 3 stars. The rooms were dirty, the facilities were old and needed a revamp. The room was cold and the heating was not working properly. I went with my 7-month-old baby and in the elevator was not even space for the cot...we had to take the baby and carry her in the lift waking her up every time if she was sleeping. The bathroom was cold as the window did not close properly plus the sink in the bathroom was clogged the first day, which is insane for a 4 star hotel. We only had breakfast once and they had the courage to charge 18 euros for a miserable and small breakfast, with only fruit, a small yogurt and coffee.. only a la carte, served in the hotel reception, not even in a dedicated room.This hotel was expensive. I had to pay for my upgrade for the deluxe room which i regret so much and the taxes at the hotel more than 130 euro ....at the end this hotel was really expensive but it is not worth a penny. The staff at the reception is ok but when I asked about some free bath products they did not know what I was talking about...in a 4 star hotel..I did not even find a hand soap in the room...I feel like I have been robbed of my money. The room was not clean I found other people hair on the pillow the first day I got in....nothing screamed 4 star in there, max was a 3 star stay...very disappointed, dont be deceived from the pictures online

Dear guest, we are very surprised that you had such a bad experience and such problems at the hotel without informing us during yourstay.Your review does not reflect other guest reviews we usually have and that are very positives all the time.Obviously, you didn't like the hotel at all, its style, its atmosphere and its rooms. The heating works perfectly well (February is the winter, how could we leave our guests without heating?, the windows close well (we have a service of maintenance in the hotel) and ourrooms have the reputation for being very clean (we are extremely vigilant onthis point and we are working with the same cleaning team for 12 years). Sorry for the elevator but yes it is small, like all the elevators in small narrow Haussmanian buildings in Paris. We are typical and authentic boutique hotel so for big lifts, it is better to choose big hotel of more than 100 rooms, like Mariott or Novotel.You benefited from a very attractive promotional rate and my team informed me that they did everything to meet your expectations all the time, and that you did not seem satisfied with your baby. I am staying at your disposal if you wish to exchange outside Expedia and that we find a solution for you. Best regards.

We were travelling with two teenagers so were looking for a hotel with a "family room." This was essentially 2 adjoining hotel rooms with a central entry - one with 2 twins and its own bathroom along with another with a queen and bathroom. The hotel is on a quiet street within easy walking distance of two metro lines (Notre Dame des Champs and Vavin). There are a number of good restaurants in the neighborhood. The front desk staff were knowledgeable and helpful in giving directions and recommendations. We did opt to include breakfast in our reservation. This included a basket of breads and croissants, a bowl of citrus fruits, and beverage. The lobby, although small, is welcoming and warm. We were happy with our stay.

I’ve been going to Sainte Beuve for years. It’s still a cozy little hotel I absolutely enjoy. The bedding is perfect. The room is very pleasant. Probably need a refresh soon but still very good for the price. Till next time :)

The hotel is in a nice neighborhood within walking distance to many restaurants/cafes, and right outside of Jardin du Luxembourg. Hotel lobby is cozy and vintage. There is a coffee machine where you can make some coffee and sit by the fireplace. Our room was beautiful and spacious for Paris standards. The superior room has a lovely balcony with two doors. The toilet is in a separate room with the sink/shower which is a big plus for 2 people sharing the room. Really love the hotel and will be on the top of our list when coming back to Paris.

Nice quiet neighborhood with a lot of little cafes and restaurants with great food. We met multiple restaurant owners, enjoyed great meals. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

We had a wonderful few nights and this delightful clean small hotel. Breakfast was the only negative for me as we like buffets but this is just a small hotel so that’s what you would expect.

Awesome location! Best shower EVER!!!!
We arrived early and Tapas was so helpful and friendly to hold our luggage till check-in time. The location is super convenient for public transportation and at the same time in a quiet street. There's a Monoprix just around the corner that is a life saver for snacks and drinks and little things you forgot to bring. But the super star for me was the shower! I have travelled a lot and this is the BEST shower I have ever had! Lots of water with just the right amount of pressure!!!! It was heaven to shower after a long day strolling the streets of Paris and visiting the beautiful city. I would definitely stay here again!

Lovely, charming, romantic hotel located just a few hundred meters from the fabulous Luxembourg Gardens. Everything about the hotel is splendid, but most notable would be the cheerful, friendly service provided by each and every employee. Unfortunately, the only one whose name I know is Ivan. He is delightful and knowledgeable and ready to assist in any way that he can. This will be my go-to hotel in Paris for now on. Close to two metro stations, a late-night grocery store across the street, and only four or five rooms on each floor. It's quiet and sophisticated. This is Classic Paris. A great stay.

Thank you for your rate, and sorry if the room was little tight for you. The Deluxe room is 21 square meters so this is more than the average size in hotels in Paris. But i understand that you might need some more space. the biggest room we have is junior suite with 33 square meters. Thank you again for booking at the hotel Sainte-Beuve.

Lovely Parisian Boutique Hotel
We enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Sainte-Beuve. The hotel staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We had the family suite (2 adjoining rooms) and both rooms were stylish and very clean. We enjoyed the interesting decor. You can tell that the owner and staff members take pride in their hotel. We appreciated the hotel making the arrangements for the car transfer to the airport which we arranged the day before. It was also nice that they emailed a list of recommendations after we filled out their survey prior to our stay. The hotel is on a quiet side street in a nice area of Paris with several metro stations very close by and Gare Montparnasse and Luxembourg Gardens just a few blocks away. We stayed at the hotel for 3 nights at the end of a 3 week trip and it was a really nice way to end our vacation. I would definitely stay there again.

Not worth the money, was incredibly expensive for a small, dated room. Disappointing stay for amount paid. Carpets were stained, bathroom was old and dingy. Staff very friendly and accommodating, but would not stay again for price.

The concierge is always welcoming, and helpful. The rooms are wonderful, clean and comfortable. The neighborhood is the best in Paris for eating, shopping, people watching and transportation choices are abundant. This is a first class hotel.

Great small hotel very close to Luxembourg Gardens. A lot of restaurants around as well as small shops. And a local fair nearby on Saturdays. Breakfast is great, tasty and served very quick. Rooms are very small but have a bath.

The location is great and the staff was very friendly. Everything was very clean and tidy, however the hotel needs a makeover, specially for the rates charged. Our room had 3 different shades of pink on the walls, paint which was chipped in multiples places, and a 10” TV shoved in a tiny space on the side of the bed - which meant it was impossible to watch it for more than 10 minutes without getting a sore neck. All the furniture needed some TLC - just because it’s antique doesn’t mean it should look like it’s falling apart.
