"This place was absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! We loved our very short stay so much. In fact, if we had to plan our big island trip all over again, we would have extended our stay at this beautiful gem tucked away in the jungle. How cool to be able to go from the front porch on a walk through steam vents, with information along the way about local flowers and plants. The location was about a 45 min. drive to Hilo, given the Merrie Monarch festival traffic. There were many things we wanted to do from the Pahoa location but we were there during a period of very heavy rains so instead we had indoor Hilo fun. "This studio is a lovely haven. It was clean and comfortable, and felt safe--not only is it in a nice neighborhood but has a full kitchen with reliable power and clean water in a kind of rural area.
