Although the host was receptive and always responded to messages, our stay was less than enjoyable for a number reasons.Upon check-in, there were multiple people on-site past our 4:00 check in. Including the cleaning crew and property management. The cleaning crew left around 4:15, but the manager was on site pressure washing in backyard and repairing a broken screen in backyard.Once we entered the house, the house had an overwhelming bleach odor, the carpets on 2nd floor were filthy, walls around the house was dirty and damaged.Shortly after we discovered the garage (which apparently isn’t for use for guests) was left unlocked and full of trash, linens and other items. Multiple door handles were broken, several bedframes were broken, exposing nails and staples. carpet was removed leaving the flooring and nails exposed. The bathrooms are dated and parts of the shower doors were falling apart. One of the washing machines was full of mold. Some of the showers still had different types of hair on walls and floor.We relayed all our concerns to the host, who quickly responded and said they will send someone the next morning to address it, but the only thing done was a repair to the door handle an the piece of removed carpet was replaced. Communication continued through the course of our stay, but the issues were never resolved. Several guests left early and one chose to stay at a hotel due to the condition of the house. There are more issues but I can only put so much
