"Very nice clean and comfortable for a very good price, right across the street from the ocean. The only improvement I could recommend is get some shower curtains that are about 2 inches longer. The one in our room was too short to contain water in the shower stall, so the bathroom floor got all wet. But other than that, everything was great!"

The room as of older date - but everything is in good condition, and with plenty of space. There was all the amenities needed - and a lovely pool. "Sehr gepflegte Anlage, wunderschöner Garten mit vielen verschiedenen Sitzgelegenheiten, Liegen und sogar einer Hängematte. Das Studio ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, blitzsauber und mit angenehmen Matrazen und Insektengittern ausgestattet. In der Küche gab es eine Art Grundausstattung an Kaffee, Tee, Salz, Gewürzen etc. Frühstück ist zwar selbst zuzubereiten, aber man wird täglich mit frischem Brot und Gebäck bzw. Kuchen, Eiern und Obst etc versorgt.

"An excellent apartment (we were in Unit G with the outside balcony). While we found the inside space to be a bit “tight,” we found the two decks to be beyond spacious. The view is fantastic and the locale is ideal for the waterfront area.
The apartment was absolutely immaculate upon arrival. Self check-in was clearly communicated and the hosts were very proactive in outreach. The kitchen was small but adequately provisioned — and everything works perfectly. The pictures actually do not do...

Kapi was away but his father Yiannis was extremely helpful, including meetings us in Sitia at 01:15 in the morning to lead us to the accommodation. It is around 15 years since we've been in Palekastro and Kouremenos. It has changed very little in that time - quiet Cretan charm."

"We stayed in a premium suite with ocean view balcony. The pools and buildings are very nice, and the staff are plentiful and helpful. But the resort is isolated, and the resort seems to discourage guests from leaving. The "concierge" seemed completely unprepared to help. She could not recommend any restaurants in town, or recommend any tours. She could not help with public transportation or private car service. Our best help came from taxi drivers.
They promoted a "movie night", but would not tell us what the movie would be until that day! Most of the guests appear to be older couples and their adult children, who just plan to lay on the beach and eat.
The "gym" facility was a joke. A small room totally out of scale to the resort.
The slate floor in our room was filthy. Every time we walked on it in bare feet, our feet became black.
The private beach area attracts plastic waste. The sand was covered in plastic trash and plastic was floating in the water. This is a general problem in the Meditteranean today.
Meals were very expensive. The lunch buffet was 41 euro per person. In addition, I arrived to lunch wearing a t-shirt and swimsuit, and was asked to go back to my room and change into shorts. They had no problem with the young woman wearing a thong and mesh cover up.
I expect more for what we paid, at what was presented as a luxury resort."
