"What a spectacular place! The staff were very helpful and gracious, the room was lovely, the nine Onsen were all unique with different temperatures of water (the Onsen in town were very very hot, so this was especially nice to have), the food was delicious (they even prepared vegetarian for us!), my message was EXCELLENT. "While I was there, only one member of staff was manning the front desk as well undertaking other responsibilities around the hotel, but a phone was left at the front desk so you could call when you needed assistance. "This was a gem for our ski trip. Before checkin the staff was very helpful with transportation suggestions and questions. Because the road to the hotel is not drivable in the winter you call the hotel from the parking/bus area and they come and pick you up via snowmobile, this in itself was a fun experience for my son. "The hotel is a located inside a converted house. Everything looks very traditional, complete with low ceilings, sliding doors, mat covered floors and futons. The dorm slept four, which I though was tight, but it seems to work well enough that I slept quite well both nights. "The helpfulness and customer services are top notch! Staff was willing to help in any shape and form and were very kind. The room we stayed was spacious, and had everything we needed. Breakfast and dinner were lovely (buffet) with different options between Japanese meals vs western style meal. Burger bar at the entrance is also an option as well.
