"We had a very nice stay at The Guides House and would not hesitate to book there again. The host was very accommodating and quick to respond when we reached out to him. The house was both clean and comfortable. We did have a little trouble with the lockbox but with a little perseverance were able to get it to work. A very positive experience. "

"The house was very dirty upon arrival. All items such as kayaks and toys were all very old and dirty, no work was done upon arrival, floors were dirty, there was a bunch of cob webs in windows. We were told there would be toiletries and there was only half a roll of toilet paper provided. Back deck appeared as though furniture and deck hadn’t been properly cleaned and the bed sheets were dirty as well. Sadly very disappointed in our stay here. Pictures were not accurate at all. "The hotel advertised complimentary breakfast but there’s actually no breakfast. I asked the receptionist about it and she said it’s not up to them, that it’s something that Expedia does. I’m pretty sure that falls under false advertising and breach of contract. We paid for a product as advertised and didn’t get what was advertised. I wonder what would’ve happened if we decided to just pay portion of the bill and just blame it on Expedia and say that it’s Expedia that said we’d pay full amount...
