"Good stay at the hotel. The Japanese rooms were amazing and we had a great vegetarian kaiseki dinner and really enjoyed the onsens. Would defintely recommend staying at this hotel. Only issue is transport to the location is a bit difficult if you don't have a car. We were aware of this and messaged ahead to ask about the availability of the hotel shuttle bus to the bus stop for our departure. "Beautiful cultural experience. Having your own onsen and choice of the public onsen was very nice. We did not think the seiki breakfasts and dinner were worth the astoundingly expensive price. I would next time not book the meals, exorbitant cost at nearly $300 each time"

"The onsens were dated and not well maintained, and the ground floor indoor bath was quite dark and I was almost tripped off at the stair. The entire hotel was very spacious and most areas were clean and nice. But somehow everything felt a bit lacking something compared to most of its peer hotels like the garden maintenance or the staff friendliness/enthusiasm. "
