"We had a wonderful stay a The Cliffside. Every single member of staff went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible for us. We had forgotten to organise dinner in advance, but the chef on site went above & beyond to cook us up the most delicious vegetarian curry. Not only that, they set up a lovely private dining area in our rooms garden to enjoy it in.
Couldn’t have been happier with our stay here and will definitely be back."

We had forgotten to organise dinner in advance, but the chef on site went above & beyond to cook us up the most delicious vegetarian curry. Not only that, they set up a lovely private dining area in our rooms garden to enjoy it in.

"Beautiful, well maintained building . Elna was an exceptional host and a great start to our time in South Africa, she was very accomadating and drove us down the street for breakfast to meet our tour guide. We arrived late and were hungry and she gave us all the info to order food quickly and easily. The views from the room were spectacular. Would highly recommend the orangerie foe stays in Jo’burg !

"A Hideaway in Joburg. Anna, die rechte Hand der Chefin ist die gute Seele des Hauses. Ruhig gelegen und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtetes Guesthouse. Schöner Garten mit kleinem Pool. Sehr gutes Frühstück mit frischem Obstsalat und English Breakfast.
Wir hätten uns eine Selfservice Bar gewünscht in der die Möglichkeit im Haus Getränke zu erwerben, da die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit zu fuß zu weit ist und es dort auch nicht üblich ist, zu Fuß zu gehen, obwohl es eine wohlhabende Gegend ist."

"it was so nice to finally find a firstclass hotel in a quiet, bucolic setting away from all the noise and bustle of a major city centre. the staff even more friendly, i felt that i was being spoiled by each and every one. sarah handled the check in and made me feel right at home. ana made the breakfast and it was one of the best omelettes i ever had. that's saying a lot, since i'm so very picky. but the turn down service was the bomb. i was almost brought to tears, as i saw the hot water...

Be aware if you have late night flight like me, you’ll not able to have dinner here. I’ll not come back here even have beautiful view"

"Not so good as they didn't even accommodate us. They indicated that they don't use Hotels for bookings. I stated arguing even after showing them proof of payment they just refused to accommodate us. I will appreciate to be refunded as I experienced such experience for the first time in my life. "

"More like a boarding house than a hotel but great place to stay. I had no a lovely room with small courtyard view,room had fridge, desk and chair, microwave, jug and tea/coffee, TV, bed was comfortable and very friendly and helpful people. It is in a safe area and a short walk to cafes and shops.
