"Hotel was on an industrial estate, but convenient for getting into main highway, or for going into Salem.
Room was spacious, separate bedroom and lounge/kitchen area as well as bathroom.
Breakfast was minimalist, coffee and porrige.
We couldn't get WiFi in our room, and desk staff didnt suggest any way to address. "

"We had a lovely stay at The Merchant this past weekend. The house was beautiful and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Bonus- every afternoon they set out warm chocolate chip cookies right out of the oven that were so delicious, how do we get the recipe?!!!"

"A very nice property, although the woman at the front desk almost didn’t let me check in because I was using a prepaid card for incidentals. I’m not sure if this is a Real policy or if she was just having a bad day. Otherwise, hotel was fine."

Bygningen fremstod slidt indendøre, og tæpper og møbler var også gamle og slidte. Det var angivet, at værelserne havde temaer og var indrettet med antikviteter. on the way there for fun some people I think just like to complain at everything. The bed was clean and nice, the shower was pristine. my daughter slept till 730 and usually wakes up at 5:30 so the bed was very comfortable. Plus the room darkening shades helped my daughter sleep.

Also - the Continental Breakfast was more than we expected! Beyond a few kinds of breakfast bread and a toaster, there was also whipped cream cheese, hard-boiled eggs, and a couple types of fresh fruit. We were very pleased.
There were only a couple drawbacks (which would NOT keep me from recommending the experience):
