Byhuse i North Padre Island

"staff are friendly and check in was easy- the problem is they are being renovated and using this as an excuse not to clean the property. The hallways are filthy and were never cleaned during our 3 days there. The fitness room equipment has so much dust and build up on them and was obviously being neglected. I used the stairs because the elevator was the slowest one I have ever seen in my life time. The stair were filthy as well. I read all the reviews of this property prior to booking so...

"This property is horrible. It needs so much maintenance and upgrades. The only good thing about our stay was that the bed was actually comfortable. The odor in the room was tolerable, with plenty of Lysol. The bathroom was disgusting, the tub was filthy (black stains in tub and rust. The carpet was torn and chair was covered in stains. The desk looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months! The continental breakfast was non existent, only oatmeal and cereal left (cereal was horrible too)....

"This place is a true diamond in the rough. Doesn’t look like much on the outside. Isn’t much in the inside either. But it was clean. Very clean. Perfect place to lay your head down after all long day at the beach. And perfectly located on park 22. Literally the last motel on the way to Malaquite Beach. We loved it. We’ll definitely be back."
