"My husband and I stayed here on Sunday evening and had the whole house to ourselves. There were interesting things to explore both inside the house and on the surrounding property. The owners are doing a masterful job of restoring this historically significant place. Our room was comfortable and breakfast was wonderful. We were given a personal tour of the property and saw all that was being done to make this a venue for special events and getaways. We look forward to returning in the future to...

"Were it not for a hurricane, the grounds around the main house would be beautiful. The owner/operator family, like other victims, is building back as quickly as possible. The interim condition of the exterior shows what they went through. The unaffected main house and our guest room were well-appointed and very attentive. The breakfast buffet provided to all their guests was extraordinary extravagant, as delicious and varied as you’ll find anywhere! A true 5-star experience."

"Dirt road/drive. Not a lot of room for navigation, but enough room to move around. The house was quaint and perfect. Check in was an envelope left on a table. Perfect! Serves a purpose for a one night stay. No refrigerator and limited outlets. Would stay again!"

"Everything was as it was described in the advertising. The apartment was very clean, had everything we needed and was in a great location. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room. It was very quiet also.We would definitely stay here again on our next trip to Hendersonville! The communication between us and the owner was excellent."

"Matt is an exceptional host and all around great guy. The house is in a great location -- close to everything but in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood (a little too close to Jeremiah's Italian Ice which we ended up visiting several times!) Our small pup could not have been happier and we really felt like it was a home away from home. We would definitely stay again."

"Place was so cold, heat did not sufficiently heat the place at all. Space heaters did not either. We froze to death and did not sleep. Little to no hot water & plugs in did not work upstairs. Owner would not even message me back about the issues. Such a disappointment on my skiing weekend trip with my kids. "

"Had a last minute opportunity to visit my daughter and looked at VRBO since I've always had great luck with them. Got to the property and found out that my room was 1/4 price per night. I paid VRBO more than 4 times what the hotel price was per night. Property was just barely OK. Pool was closed. Breakfast made my daughter violently ill which put a damper on the weekend. Feel stupid and taken advantage of...and yes, I am part of that responsibility so that is why I am writing this review...buyer...
