"Lovely clean hostel with cozy shared spaces. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was really relaxed and the location was perfect. Highly recommend a stay here. Perhaps a little sign up warning tourists of the pickpockets in the town would be a good idea. Telephones are stolen every weekend, ours included. "

"Our room was absolute barebones !!!! No chair no hanging cupboard, no night lamps, no tv, no tea or coffee facilities, no decoration of any kind, two wooden boxes for bed stands !!! No cups or glasses for water. Bathroom the same, bad smell from shower, no water pressure, toilet cistern faulty, had to open tank to get floater valve to work. No cupboard beneath the sink, bordered up, no place to put toiletries, tiles unfinished in shower !!!!"

"Feel free to find my Google review but long story short: one star for service. I complained after two nights bc the last night there were like ten ants in the bathroom that I had to kill, a spider on the wall, and tons of mosquitos (the mosquitos were expected) but the ants and other microscopic bugs were in the bed. "I really loved my experience at Pupa House, and it really was that perfect accommodation for my tamarindo experience. Incredibly kind and helpful staff, delicious smoothies at their cafe, and a refreshing pool. Staying in a capsule hotel was a fun and new experience, even for someone like me who's a little tall 😂"

"Property is far away from anything. Wasn't able to leave early because the gate way locked. There was a dog that was biting my leg the whole time I was there until I went into my room. The place is basically a shack, and the floor in the room was pealing. This is the worst place I've ever stayed at."
