Although I was on a business trip, the location was perfect for doing a bit of shopping and there were a variety of restaurants in the area.
The receptionist was welcoming on arrival.
The room was large and an equally large bathroom. My only criticism of the bathroom was that the windows were only frosted in the lower section. Being 5'11" when stood in the shower, I could see the church door so I figure if someone looked up they would probably see me - I had to hang a couple of carrier bags over the window...sorry but I was a bit paranoid:-)
The main room was warm, had a variety of complimentary snacks and water. There was even a safe, iron and ironing board. Unfortunately on my first night, the local church had Bell Practice (for about 2 hours!) and I needed to work. The following night was much better and probably representative of what the town is normally like on a weeknight - quite quiet considering this hotel is located in the centre of the town.
The en-suite bathroom was spotless - I am very fussy when it comes to clean rooms and this was great.
The cooked breakfast served up in the Tea Room was great! The variety was really good; they even had a veggie option. The two ladies running the breakfast room were lovely.
It's a great place to stay for business or leisure. I will certainly be making a return visit with my husband.
