The location right on the beach was stunning—waking up to the sound of the waves and being able to step out directly onto the sand was just incredible. "Really large, with seating for all ten of us in the same room. The open kitchen/ living room is a great hangout space and there are plenty of bedrooms for privacy for several couples/families. Also there is a fenced area which makes it so much easier to travel with the family dog.Have stayed with my extended family more than once and hope to stay again. "

"We had a great time at the house, and we had enough space for all 5 adults and 3 kids. The cottage house was a little musty and we weren’t aware the room in there was up a steep flight of stairs but otherwise it was great. The beds are comfy and the fireplace kept the room warm in the cooler evening and morning hours. The walk to the beach is tough for little kids and older folks, and the beach access is very steep. Once on the beach though, it’s private and beautiful. "

"We loved our stay at The Whale! Over 30 family members of all ages fit comfortably in this accommodation! The home is a bit older, and some things are worn out, but with close beach access sand can reek havoc! We were in close proximity to so many amenities such as waterfalls, lighthouses, deep sea fishing and whale watching not to mention the five minute walk to beach! Any issues we had with the house were quickly handled. As mentioned in other reviews, the electric outlets on the third floor...

"The house was extremely comfortable for our group of 3 adults and 2 kids (12 and 5) for 11 days at the end of August. There are a ton of highlights including the very-well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, wonderful view, and easily walkable distance to what might very well be the most ideal beach on the Oregon coast. The beach is ideal because it is at the opening of a secluded cove (Netarts Bay). To the right is the waves and a nice walk to the Oceanside Haystacks. To the left is a beach...
