My family and I have been visiting this same complex in Myrtle beach for the last 10 years and this is the first year I had any issues with renting. The owners were the least personable owners I’ve ever rented from, when reaching out to them with questions I had received one word answers regarding parking passes and check in. According to my booking I was supposed to receive check in information by Wed July 23rd for my arrival on Sat July 26th. When reaching out to the owner about check in information I received a message stating I would receive check in information no later than 4pm on the day of check in which was odd considering I have always received check in information from other owners at least a week prior not the day of. I did not receive check in information until 2:30pm on the day of arrival. Then I received a message while on the beach from the owner asking how many people were staying on the property because my reservation called for 2 people which was a mistake on my part when booking it was actually 4 people which was still allowed for the property but they said “they noticed much more activity in and out of the property” which means they were monitoring me and my family on the camera at the front door of property which I feel was a violation of my privacy considering according to VRBO policies you must disclose in the listing there is a surveillance device on the property and this was never disclosed in the listing or the booking information.
