"What an amazing hotel with beyond-excellent staff! They just opened a few months ago and the room is spotless. Wonderful breakfast spread and nice Thai food at the Thai restaurant for lunch or dinner (it is a Thai chain of hotels). The best part of the hotel is the most polite, accommodating, and friendly staff I have met! Do have a chat with concierge Nellie, she is super knowledgeable, speaks well and have the best customer service mindset any employer would be blessed to have.

"Jeg bestilte et værelse på dette hotel til mig og min kæreste. Dagen før check in spurgte jeg om de kunnd gøre værelset romantisk til vores ankomst og det gjorde de til et helt niveau som jeg slet ikke havde regnet med eller forventet. Alt var udført til perfektion og jeg er meget meget meget tilfreds og evigt taknemmelig.
Jeg vil klart benytte mig af dette hotel en anden gang og vil også anbefale det til familie og venner som skulle rejse til Hanoi i fremtiden. Tak for et godt ophold hvor alt...
"I was not overly impressed. I booked a "one-bedroom apartment". Clean, quiet, all was there. But there is no windows looking out, so wven though I was on the 6th floor, I might as well have stayed in a basement.
If you are only there to sleep, then it is a very comfortable place, but for longer stays make sure you have a window looking out.
Also, the kitchen was hardly fully equipped. One pan, one pot, one fork, one spoon, one knife, some chopsticks, a rice cooker and some plates was all I had...

"It was my third time staying in Oakwood Residence Hanoi with my wife. First two times, 8 days, and this time 3 days. It’s my favorite hotel, course it’s clean, nice and helpful staff, big indoor pool (so I don’t get burned by the sun) with beautiful view, great gym, big jacuzzi and sauna. The rooms are really nice, with power plugs where you need them (many hotels only have one on each side of the bed). And the down pillows are the best. The area around the hotel is mostly local stores and food places/restaurants, which is fine for me (married to a Vietnamese). If I want different things, I take a taxi. I stay in this hotel because I really enjoy it, not because of what’s around. This time I didn’t leave the hotel once, and I enjoyed every minute!"
"A bit of a boring hotel to be honest in a reaktuveky boring area away from downtown Hanoi. We had a room on the lake for just half a day before a late evening flight - and the hotel is located just 35 min from Noi Bai Airport which was convenient. But for a longer stay in Hanoi where you also want easy walking access to sights and attractions it is recommended to stay at the Old Quarter. The area around this hotel is not interesting at all. The service at the hotel was overall pleasant and speedy - but in general the hotel seem a bit old and not that interesting "
