"Good location in quiet neighbourhood, with plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Apartment is actually quite nice, but kitchen is sparingly equipped. Cutlery for 3 and no mugs or cups is very basic. Kettle kind of worked most of the time but worst part was A/C that broke in all 3 rooms after 3 days. Hotel didn't manage to repair, so the last two days were extremely hot in 30+ degrees and high humidity - more so because the apartment has large uninsulated windows, that lets all the heat right in."

"It was my third time staying in Oakwood Residence Hanoi with my wife. First two times, 8 days, and this time 3 days. It’s my favorite hotel, course it’s clean, nice and helpful staff, big indoor pool (so I don’t get burned by the sun) with beautiful view, great gym, big jacuzzi and sauna. The rooms are really nice, with power plugs where you need them (many hotels only have one on each side of the bed). And the down pillows are the best. The area around the hotel is mostly local stores and food places/restaurants, which is fine for me (married to a Vietnamese). If I want different things, I take a taxi. I stay in this hotel because I really enjoy it, not because of what’s around. This time I didn’t leave the hotel once, and I enjoyed every minute!"

"A bit of a boring hotel to be honest in a reaktuveky boring area away from downtown Hanoi. We had a room on the lake for just half a day before a late evening flight - and the hotel is located just 35 min from Noi Bai Airport which was convenient. But for a longer stay in Hanoi where you also want easy walking access to sights and attractions it is recommended to stay at the Old Quarter. The area around this hotel is not interesting at all. The service at the hotel was overall pleasant and speedy - but in general the hotel seem a bit old and not that interesting "

"We enjoyed 18 nights at this hotel. We had a two room apartment and there was plenty of room for us. The apartment is a bit outdated but there is cleaning everyday and it is practical. We missed some outdoor furniture to enjoy the view from the small balcony. Great pool and friendly staff. A bit noisy sometimes but we don’t think it is much compared to “the old town”. We would go back. "
