"This is the second time we have stayed at the Grand Dunes. We were there one year ago, liked the property and returned this year. It had an old time style from the lobby to the rooms. This year we found the room to be quite neglected. The items we noted were as follows: The shower door would not close and had about a 6" gap. The iron had the pointed end broken completely off. "Excellent property the only issues we had was with the shower in the primary bathroom not draining properly and the ceiling fan in the primary bedroom not functioning properly. We didn’t stay long so it wasn’t a huge issue as the ac was adequate and the shower was the worse the last day of our stay."

"The rooms are privately owned, and the hotel is nice, but the rooms are outdated. They were clean but need to be upgraded. We booked 17 rooms for a party, and all of our guests had complaints about the rooms. They had to change several rooms. For the price, I would stay at a different hotel when we go back next year."

"Very clean rooms and amenities. The A/C in the room worked very well. However, in the bar area, it was warm and though they had high power fans throughout the lobby to try and cool it down, the fans took away from the ambiance.
