Too expensive for the standard
The area is great. Hotelroom was old and the air condition made extreme noise so we had to shut it off. There was one towel less then people booked for and the towel that we asked for never arrived. Reception compensated with free parking and bike rental at check out. I would not recomend the hotel, too expensive for the standard

Bedste beliggenhed i Venice
Jamaica Bay Inn er bare et hyggeligt hotel - beliggende ved en lille rolig strand i Marina del Rey i Venice. Stemningen er i top og beliggenheden er super.

A hotel that is about to wear out and then it is not ok to charge $ 35 per night for parking a car

Super ferie ved Venice Beach LA
Vi rejste som familie på 5 og opholdte os i to værelser i ca en uge her i juli 2019. Priserne var relativt høje for dette, men det skyldes beliggenheden ift Venice Beach som man kunne gå til og at hotellet har en fin standard. Der manglede ikke noget, men man skal være klar på at bruge en del penge på morgenmad, vallet parking etc. Alt i alt en god oplevelse over middel.

Døren til badeværelse/toilet kunne ikke lukkes og på trods af 3 henvendelser til hotellet blev det ikke ordnet. Obligatorisk valet-parking er totalt rip-off - parker istedet lige ved siden af hotellet til væsentlig lavere pris og med ligeså stor tryghed. Fremragende restaurant og super beliggenhed!

The hotel is quite nice and new, the staff is nice and have humor. Everything is very clean. A laundromat would be a good thing to have.

Morgenmaden er ikke ret god, og man venter meget længe på nummer to kop kaffe. Indretningen af badeværelset er idiotisk. Badehåndklædet hænger op ad væggen og bliver derfor aldrig tørt. Toiletrullen hænger ved siden af, men bag toilettet, så man skal være slangemenneske for at nå den. Personalet er venligt.

We had an excellent time at Jamaica Bay. The location is lovely, the linens are luxurious and the staff is kind and professional. The price is not cheap, but is comparable with other fine hotels in the area.

Had an ocean view with beach view. Right down the street from the Venice Beach pier. Room was nice would definitely stay again.

The team here took amazing care of us. From the gorgeous room, with stunning views and which has clearly been renovated in the past year, to the front desk staff who took such wonderful care of us and the back patio, which is a lovely place to spend an afternoon. this place is great in every way.

The staff friendly and efficient. The room comfortable. The air conditioner is a bit noisy but efficient. Bathroom lighting amazing. The water in the bathroom gets hot quickly to scalding temps. The faucet if water turned up will spray all over. The beds comfortable the pillows a bit flat but ok. The restaurant has good food. Selection limited. The coffee is good. The bar closes early but when open good cocktails and appetizers. The TV was difficult to figure out how to use so we skipped it. We did not miss it.

We loved our stay at Jamaica Bay. We read some of the negative reviews and couldn’t understand what any problems were. Our room was recently updated and had a balcony right on Mother’s Beach. The restaurant downstairs offered delicious food and has great entertainment. All of the staff were super helpful and concerned about our stay. We will definitely return.
